Many of us in the northeast spent yesterday preparing for “crippling” and “historic” blizzard conditions. Fortunately, most areas only got hit with a few inches – instead of the possible 30 our local weatherman suggested. A friend of mine who just had a baby left the hospital a day early, rather than struggle on impassable roads with a newborn!

Can you believe it’s the final full week of March? Most of us on the East Coast had a frigid winter with one too many blizzards to count. I love all the seasons – but I find myself really yearning for warmer weather this year more than the previous winter. Perhaps it’s because I’m ready to hit the trail with my jogging stroller that’s been collecting dust, but I think I’m just excited that we won’t have to lug around so many layers and accessories every time we leave the house.
An Weeknight Meal for the Whole Family
Many nights it’s difficult to get a healthy, home-cooked meal on the table. One or both parents work, and come home tired. Perhaps your baby is still only eating pureed foods, or your toddler has a food allergy and her meals require special preparation. I try to avoid as much processed and packaged food as I can, but both my husband and I work – and we’re in the process of closing on our first home (yippee!)

Prepared to help baby sleep, but not to keep baby awake!
My husband and I are a bit "into" planning. We have color-coded stickers and a label machine. Throwing a party? My husband will create a game, type up the rules and even set up the obstacle course for you. Meeting at noon? We'll be there at 11:55am, with coffee for the group. My 6-month old already seems to have inherited the Type-A gene, as just this morning he fell asleep at 8:55am for his regularly scheduled 9am nap.
